Activities may include, but are not limited to:
a) The establishment of a hospital
in any part of India as the trustees may decide from time to time
for the treatment and rehabilitation of patients mainly suffering
from brain trauma or brain injury due to accidents or otherwise.
b) Financial and technical assistance
to various hospitals in India for the purpose of establishing a
coordinated Brain Trauma System, evidence-based Brain trauma emergency
care, or rehabilitation services, including support groups for care
givers during and beyond hospitalization.
c) An agreement with the Brain
Trauma Foundation (BTF), New York City to provide: the latest scientific
guidelines, protocols, educational materials and research for the
management of head injury; an international exchange of physicians,
nurses and paramedics between India and the United States for consultation,
lectures and training; and telemedicine, databases and accredited
education programme via the internet technology.
d) Organisation and sponsorship
of conferences, seminars, workshop, meetings, symposiums for creating
awareness, exchanging scientific information and training healthcare
professionals on the prevention, assessment, treatment, transport
and rehabilitation of traumatic head injury cause due to accidents
or otherwise.
e) Public awareness programmes
on injury prevention, recognition of head injury, information regarding
rehabilitation and resources for long-term care.
