Giving Freedom and Dignity Through Assistive Devices
The Indian Head Injury Foundation (IHIF) is committed to improving the quality of life for individuals with physical disabilities, whether they are para-athletes achieving glory or patients from economically weaker sections striving for independence in daily life.
Through our Assistive Technology (AT) Donation Program, IHIF provides a wide range of mobility aids and support devices to those in need. These include:
- Wheelchairs
- Tricycles, Crutches, and Walkers
- KAFO/HKAFO braces (Knee/Hip-Ankle-Foot Orthoses)
- Prosthetic limbs, adaptive aids, and other mobility solutions
- Hygiene kits for wheelchair-bound or bedridden patients
Since its inception, IHIF has distributed more than 1,000 assistive devices to needy beneficiaries, enabling them to regain mobility, independence, and dignity.
Our Impact Areas:
- Empowering Para-Athletes to train and compete nationally and internationally; many beneficiaries have won laurels at major events.
- Supporting Rehabilitation for patients with spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, and neuro-motor disorders.
- Restoring Dignity and Mobility to individuals from underprivileged backgrounds.
By donating assistive technologies, IHIF helps individuals reclaim independence, participate fully in society, and, in many cases, achieve the extraordinary — such as attaining financial independence through small businesses or jobs.
