He was hit by a car and sustained a severe head injury followed by loss of consciousness and was completely bed ridden. Patient was dependent for each and every task on his attendant. He couldn’t perform activities of daily life like feeding, grooming, walking, he was made to sit on a wheelchair with support. He was brought to us in Jan 2020, and underwent rigorous physiotherapy and neuro therapy. We used different rehab protocols to improve and treat the patient, some of them are balance training, roods approach , speech and swallowing facilitations, gait training , weight bearing for muscle facilitation, and apart from these advance neuro-rehab protocols were used like Functional electrical stimulation, treadmill , balance trainer and theravital. With these approaches, we worked to improve his feeding, grasping, dressing, speech, emotional status, orientation, attention etc. At present he has regained a significant amount of motion as well as muscle power in all his joints and muscles respectively. He is able to stand with support, able to do hand movements and do his other activities of daily living. He expressed good control over different movements. His rehab sessions are continuing to make him more independent and walk again.
