The Indian Head Injury Foundation (IHIF) established a Neuro-Rehabilitation Centre with a specialized Pediatric Unit on August 6th, 2011 at the Delhi Commonwealth Women’s Association (DCWA) premises in Zamrudpur, New Delhi. The Centre was inaugurated by His Highness Maharaja Gaj Singh II of Jodhpur, Chairman, IHIF.

The Centre was set up with generous contributions from charitable donors and equipped with advanced, high-quality rehabilitation systems such as the Balance System SD, Gait Trainer with Unweighing System, Thera Trainer, Ball Pool, Standing Frame, and other specialized physiotherapy equipment. The facility was conceived to serve the economically weaker sections of society, providing affordable and comprehensive rehabilitation services of high standard.

In 2016, the Centre underwent a major upgradation, further enhancing its facilities and equipment to meet state-of-the-art standards.

Subsequently, in 2022, the IHIF Physiotherapy & Neuro-Rehabilitation Centre, including its Specialized Pediatric Unit, was relocated from the DCWA premises in Zamrudpur to O Block, Lajpat Nagar, New Delhi. The new premises offer expanded space and upgraded infrastructure, equipped with modern rehabilitation technologies to continue delivering quality neuro-rehabilitation and physiotherapy services to patients in need.
