IHIF hosted first of its kind meeting on Assistive technology at our IHIF- DCWA Neuro rehab Centre , Delhi. Meeting was presided by Dr Rajendra Prasad, Hon. Medical Director- IHIF and coordinated by Dr Tarun Lala, Rehab Advisor -IHIF . Well attended by HODs and Senior Therapists from various Clinical and Academic back ground across Delhi and NCR . It was attended by PT, OT, SLT, Psychology , Neurologist and Neuro Surgeon.
Aim of the meeting was to see what low cost assistive technology is present and what more needs to be done in India for easy accessibility so that everything is under one roof, let it be for Mobility , ADL, Cognition , vision , hearing etc. IHIF wants to setup the India’s first AT centre, which will also have the facility of Tele rehabilitation. We have just started and there is a long way to go.
