CommitToAct Campaign Week of action was celebrated from 16 May to 22 May 2022. The theme of this week was StreetsForLife & Love30.
On this occasion, various esteemed personalities like Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Union Cabinet Minister, Gen V K Singh, Union Minister of State, Road Transport & Highways and Civil Aviation, Shri Gaurav Gupta, Director, Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MORTH), His Highness Maharaja GajSingh of Jodhpur, Dr. Patanjali Nayar, Regional Advisor, WHO at SEARO, Dr. Rajendra Prasad, Sr Neuro & Spine Surgeon, Apollo Hospital, Delhi, Mr. Prashant K Banerjee, Executive Director, Society of Indian Automobille Manufacturers (SIAM) extended their supports in advocating 30km/h speed limits in vulnerable areas like hospitals, schools, residential and market complex etc. This campaign also reached out to school children and especially abled people who suffered some kind of disabilities due to road traffic accidents. They all urged for a safer street and safer roads by limiting the vehicles’ speed to 30km/h.
IHIF also received a letter of appreciation for its rigorous work in the field of Road Safety.
