Empowering Medical Professionals and First Responders to Save Lives
In road accidents, the “Golden Hour”—the first 60 minutes after trauma—is critical for saving lives and preventing serious, often fatal, injuries. In India, approximately 50% of trauma deaths occur within the first hour of injury, underscoring the importance of timely intervention.
Recognizing this, IHIF conducts Post-Crash Management Training for medical professionals and trains bystanders in first response. These bystanders include police personnel, cab drivers, hotel staff, college students, and community workers.
The program imparts essential life-saving skills such as:
- Basic to Advanced CPR
- Airway Management
- Neck Stabilization & Safe Transportation
- Fracture Stabilization
- Bleeding Control (Stop the Bleed)
Through hands-on training, participants gain practical skills to act quickly and efficiently in emergency situations. They learn critical techniques such as first aid, CPR, and safe evacuation procedures.
This preparedness enhances their confidence and ability to manage crises under pressure. As a result, survival rates improve, and the impact of injuries is significantly reduced.
Over the years, IHIF has trained more than 85,000 first responders, including traffic police, coast guards, cab drivers, hotel staff, college students, and community workers. This extensive training network plays a pivotal role in ensuring timely and effective response to road accidents, thereby saving lives and reducing trauma-related fatalities.
