A 7 year old autistic boy came to Our Centre in June 2022. He had no sitting tolerance, poor attention and concentration. He was having sensory issues like hand flapping, jumping, unwanted hitting, biting and paper tearing. Sentence repetition was there. He used to speak meaning less sentences unnecessarily. His sensory profile score was 491/625. The child was jumping from one activity to another. Initially, he was not co-operative with the therapist and used to make noise throughout the sessions. His Screen Time was 6 hour/ day. After 2 months of Occupational Therapy which involve sensory integration therapy social skill training, need based communication training, his shouting and meaningless speaking has reduced. He is now able to sit for 20-30 minute, his academics also improved, he can write with support. He is able to do one activity for 8-10 minutes without getting distracted. He is now able to speak “namaste” and “bye”. His hand flapping and jumping is also controlled.
