“Every Expression Tells a Story” – World Schizophrenia Day
On this World Schizophrenia Day, we chose to initiate a gentle conversation about mental health and emotions through the eyes of children with special need.
We explored the world of feelings using a simple yet powerful medium – coloring facial expressions.
Each child colored face is showing happiness, sadness, anger, fear, and confusion – emotions we all experience, but may express differently.
Through this creative activity, we:- Recognized that emotions live in all of us.
– Reflected on how confusing or intense some emotions can feel – especially for people with conditions like schizophrenia, where the mind may experience things that others cannot see or hear.- Encouraged kindness, acceptance, and understanding – because every mind is different, and every feeling is valid.
This activity wasn’t just about colors and crayons – it was about building empathy from an early age.
