5th of Sept is observed as World Spinal Cord Injury Day is observed annually and aims to raise awareness about spinal cord injuries (SCI) throughout the community and the challenges faced by individuals living with these injuries. SCI is one of the most common causes of disability incapacitating an individual to lead a normal life. The SCI Day promotes measures for the prevention of spinal cord injuries and highlights the importance of providing appropriate care, rehabilitation services and the need of assistive devices for independent living.
The Indian Head Injury Foundation is organizing an Awareness Program on SCI Day on 5th September 2024 as part of World Spinal Day! This event will be a hybrid experience—both online and offline—so you can join us from wherever you are!
This will include talks and presentations by expert speakers and eminent doctors followed by discussion.
